Engineer Hassan H. Al-Yami was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Petro Rabigh, effective September 1, 2026. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the refining and petrochemical industry, with a distinguished career spanning operations, engineering, major industrial projects, business transformation, and business development in Saudi Arabia and internationally.
He began his career with Saudi Aramco in 1995 at Ras Tanura Refinery, where he held a series of operational, engineering, maintenance, and leadership assignments. Over the course of his career, he has led large-scale industrial operations, complex capital projects, organizational transformation initiatives, and joint venture businesses across the energy and petrochemical sectors.
Engineer Al-Yami has a longstanding connection with Petro Rabigh, having served in several leadership roles across the Company, including utilities operations, terminal and marine operations, petrochemical manufacturing, and executive management. He later held senior positions including General Manager of Operations, Managing Director of a major project, and Vice President of Engineering & Support. During his tenure, he contributed to the commissioning and startup of major refining and petrochemical facilities and led multidisciplinary teams responsible for operational performance, asset integrity, engineering, projects, and technical support.
His career also includes senior leadership positions at PRefChem in Malaysia and SATORP. Prior to his appointment as President and CEO of Petro Rabigh, he served as Saudi Aramco Vice President for Ras Tanura Refinery.
Engineer Al-Yami holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tulsa, United States, earned in 1995. He has also completed executive and leadership development programs, including executive leadership studies at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
